Greetings Puzzlers!

Happy New Year! We’re looking forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming Exchanges as we kick off a new year of fun and trading among the Portland jigsaw-puzzling community!

If you are a resolution maker, here’s a suggestion for your 2026 list:

NO MISSING PIECES!!! – I hereby resolve that I will no longer bring puzzles with missing pieces in for exchange!!!

This simple resolution will go a long way toward making many, many puzzlers happy this year. 🙂

So, what to do when you find puzzles with missing pieces?

1. If the puzzle is missing 2 or less pieces. Write that information in black sharpie on the back of the box. If you know where the pieces are missing from, circle these areas on the puzzle image. Then, donate the puzzle to an organization that could use puzzles, pre-school art projects, or donate to a local thrift store, etc.
2. If the puzzle is missing more than 2 pieces. Get rid of it! Some puzzlers use the pieces for craft projects or compost in their garden. Or recycle it — empty the pieces from the zippy bag, tape the box with brown tape, and throw it in your recycle bin (loose puzzle pieces jam up the recycling equipment.)

As always, you are welcome to participate at either (or both) locations and it is okay to pick up puzzles at one location and return them to another.
